Work On “Windowpanes” Begins

And so let’s do this again, sort of. This time with a new title, “Windowpanes.” Too, instead of herring, chicken halibut and delphiniums, along with red leafed kelp and more.

I made that small watercolor sketch below in Nome last year and when I was trying to figure out what to paint next it became clear that what I was looking for was right in front of me pinned to my bulletin board.

Off for a long Spring Break walk tomorrow morning and to the library at the University of Fairbanks for books on illustrating seaweed and other Pacific Ocean plant and sea life. This week I am taking everything at a much slower pace including painting. It’s a good thing. ©
